Lawn Bowls - More Information
Our Objectives
- To have a relaxed time hurling a few bowls down a rather lush green lawn!
- To meet like minded friends who don't take life (or Lawn Bowls) too seriously!
Meeting Frequency
We meet at the Chalfont St Giles Bowls Club fortnightly on Tuesday mornings from 10am.
The address of the CSG Bowls Club is:
Crossleys, Bowstridge Lane, Chalfont St Giles HP8 4RQ
Drive to the end of Crossleys. When you reach the car park you need to go through the barriers and turn immediate left. The Bowls Club is about two hundred yards across the field.
Ability Level
If you're of the standard to represent England (or even the weakest country in the world for that matter) at International level you're probably a bit too good. 🙂
Seriously, we are looking for members of the group who can bowl a ball down the green; if you practice you're bound to get better. But we are aiming for all members to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Winning is not the critical thing we want to do!
You do need to be able to drink tea or coffee though, that's a must! We like to celebrate in style when the game is over. 😉
